I was lucky enough to have been asked to redesign the native iPhone and a first Android App of Eventim, Europe’s market leader in ticketing. The design objective was to improve the customer relationship experience for the mobile touchpoint and encourage loyalty. The app improves bookmarking of artists and scans the phone’s music library for a personalised events stream. Optional push messages are sent so no interesting event will go unnoticed. “Mobile Ticketing” makes it possbile to use the mobile phone as ticket itself. Photo upload and writing of reviews are baked into the app.
The interaction and interface design was developed in tight cooperation with the information architect on one side and their in-house developers on the other. Pages are put together modularly by the backend to keep content flexible and uptodate across all mobile apps. For intuitive navigation, a new icon set was designed. Clarity and love for detail made it possible to use icons without explanatory text. OS specific design was a priority while maintaining a stringent app experience and branding across systems.
