With the XING App you constantly have your network handy. The leading European online business network, which has more than 12 million members worldwide, asked me to support the inhouse mobile user experience team rethinking the iPhone App navigation. The main requirements were faster access to navigation and its scalability for future scenarios. The omnipresent handle on the top left corner of the screen solves the pain point of having to navigate via a dashboard. Its secondary function is that of a notifier for new messages, visitors to ones profile or bithdays.
In support to the Android team I was asked to come on bord for the redesign of the first Android App. In close co-operation with the developers we solved performance and maintenance issues and redesigned the app to look like its iPhone counterpart for a continuous mobile user experience.
